Colorado Hockey Now
The Avs completed the second game of their homestand less than 48 hours before the first one began. They were fortunate to start with a struggling Ottawa Senators team and then have a quick turnaround against the Eastern Conference’s last-place Columbus Blue Jackets.
Miner got the nod for the second time this season. He earned his first win and shutout. And that wasn’t the only career first.

Detroit Hockey Now:Â The Red Wings were victorious, by a wide margin, against their division rival Montreal Canadiens. Detroit has regained the top spot in the Atlantic Division.
Pittsburgh Hockey Now: The Penguins are winning a lot of games lately, and have even gotten Evgeni Malkin back in the lineup. Unfortunately for Dan Muse’s club, another one of their top forwards is out with an injury now.
