BOSTON — The Bruins look to carry the momentum from Saturday’s 10-2 throttling of the New York Rangers, but they will need to do it without at least one of their top forwards.
Morgan Geekie will not be in Sunday’s lineup when Boston hosts the Pittsburgh Penguins, coach Marco Sturm confirmed prior to puck drop.
Geekie left Saturday’s game due to a family matter. Sturm said Sunday everything was fine, and expect the forward to return Tuesday against the Detroit Red Wings.
Elias Lindholm suffered a lower-body injury Saturday, but was on the ice for warmups and is in the lineup against Pittsburgh.
