UMD men’s hockey slides one spot in the polls

Ahead of its return to conference play, UMD men’s hockey has dropped one spot to sixth in this week’s USCHO poll.

The movement comes even after a weekend sweep over Lindenwood that saw the Bulldogs score a season-high eight goals. Meanwhile, NCHC foe Western Michigan rose from six to three following a pair of dominant wins over Denver.

UMD slots in as the third-highest ranked team in the conference behind WMU and North Dakota, which was placed fifth. The Bulldogs welcome the Broncos to town at 7:07 p.m. on Jan. 23.

Before that though, Scott Sandelin’s squad visits St. Cloud State at 7 p.m. on Friday.
