The LA Kings announced today that they have recalled forward Cole Guttman from the Ontario Reign. 

Guttman, 26, has tallied 23 points (9G, 14A) in 31 games with Ontario this season. After starting the campaign with just three points (1G, 2A) in his first 11 games he has notched 20 points (8G, 12A) in his last 21 contests. The Northridge, CA native signed a two-year contract with LA on Jul. 1, 2025. 

Originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2017 NHL Draft, sixth round, 180th overall, he signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks on Aug. 18, 2022 following four seasons at the University of Denver where he helped the Pioneers to a National Championship in 2022 serving as team captain registering 45 points (19G, 26A) in 41 games. Guttman accumulated 121 points (55G, 66A) in 140 career games. 

In his first three professional seasons he skated in 41 NHL games with Chicago tallying 14 points (8G, 6A) making his debut on Feb. 15, 2023 in a 5-2 loss vs. Toronto and scored his first goal on Feb. 19, 2023 in a 5-3 win over the Maple Leafs. In 148 games with the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs he collected 127 points (55G, 72A) and led the club with 57 points, 23 goals, and 34 assists last season appearing in 70 games as an alternate captain.
