We were treated to another great moment last night after the Montreal Canadiens’ win, this time against the Vancouver Canucks.
The victory video has just been released, and once again the locker room stole the show. Juraj Slafkovsky can be seen returning to the locker room, and the energy immediately ramps up.
Alexandre Texier takes over the ritual, and you can feel how tight this group is.
The wolf head is passed around, with all eyes locked on it, as usual when the Habs win.
What really stands out is the way Texier hands the wolf head for player of the game to Alexandre Carrier.
This ritual has become a classic in Montreal, precisely because it feels real and spontaneous.
Alexandre Carrier receives the wolf head and delivers a nice little speech
In the video, Carrier looks like a guy who just lived through a huge night, and the locker room clearly recognizes it.
Two goals rarely leave anyone indifferent, especially when they help secure a win at the Bell Centre.
Texier gives him the moment, and Carrier takes it with the smile of a player who knows exactly what it means inside a team.
Check out the great footage:
In short, this is more proof that the Canadiens’ locker room is tight knit, with its habits and a small ritual that perfectly fits the team’s identity. When the wolf head comes out, you know it was a good night.
Speaking of a close knit group, let’s also remember the gesture made by Hutson on the bench:
Who noticed that move from young Lane Hutson?
