Want a perfect example of how tight the playoff race is? The Philadelphia Flyers have lost three straight games for just the second time this season over the final three games of the homestand, posting an 0-2-1 record. The back-to-back regulation losses to Tampa Bay were just the second time that’s happened too, the first since Nov. 1 and 2.

As a result, the Flyers are back on the outside looking in on the playoff picture. There’s still times and games in hand to change that, but the Flyers got a harsh dose of reality with the last couple of games. Now they hit the road for a back-to-back, starting Wednesday night against the Buffalo Sabres, a team that has won 13 of its last 15 games.

Game time is 7:30 p.m.
