The Canucks probably want a first round pick and an NHL ready young player to go along with it. The three top teams rumoured to land him are the Minnesota Wild, Dallas Stars and Boston Bruins.
Sherwood would be a prototype Bruins player, scoring goals, and laying the body. He’s a player built for the playoffs and will not cost them a lot of money. The Wild and the Stars are chasing the Colorado Avalanche in the Central Division, and Sherwood would help close the gap, especially for the Wild, who lack a lot of forward depth to make a deep playoff run. But after making a big deal with the Canucks already for Quinn Hughes, the Wild may not have much left to give for him.
