It’s been just around a month since the Vancouver Canucks dealt on of the best defensemen in the NHL to the Minnesota Wild, and like all great breakups, Quinn Hughes finished it on social media.
“It’s a day that everyone knew was coming but will forever be one of the darkest moments in franchise history, mainly due to the “what if” factor and how things could’ve been different if this club was successful on the ice over the last year.”-Jaxon
Quinn Hughes shows the Vancouver Canucks are no longer a concern of his.
The former Canucks captain was proven to have unfollowed the team on Instagram through NHL Follow Tracker on X. It was an emotional roller coaster for Hughes during his whole time in Vancouver, especially this half season leading up to his trade. And he closed that chapter of his life by no longer following on social media.

Hughes will go down as the best defensemen the team ever had. And unfortunately through the lack of leadership, and team management of the head office, they had to trade away such a talent. Hughes has and will continue to shine on the Wild, he deserves to be on a playoff contending team, and unfortunately for the Canucks, that will not be happening anytime soon.
