Nashville Predators forward Steven Stamkos was fined $2,500 for unsportsmanlike conduct on Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Jeremy Lauzon, the NHL announced Jan. 18.
The incident occurred at the 3:21 mark of the second period Jan. 17. On the play, after Lauzon hit winger Jonathan Marchessault into the Predators bench, Stamkos appeared to jab Lauzon in the face with his stick.
Stamkos was not penalized for the play during the game. The Golden Knights went on to beat the Predators 7-2, scoring five goals in the third period.
