Tampa Bay reacts immediately to the end of its long winning streak in the NHL. The Lightning with Janis Moser beat the Dallas Stars 4-1 on the road.

On Friday, the Lightning suffered their first defeat in eleven games with a 3-2 penalty shootout loss at the St. Louis Blues. Now they showed a strong reaction at the first opportunity and also retook the lead in the Eastern Conference standings.

The team from Florida also had to react in the game against the Stars, who are still missing defenceman Lian Bichsel through injury. After four minutes, they were trailing 0:1 after a goal by the Swede Oskar Bäck. Another four minutes later, American Dominic James equalized. Canadian Brandon Hagel and James’ compatriot Jake Guentzel, the team’s most prolific points scorers this season after Russia’s Nikita Kutscherow, made sure of the preliminary decision in the second period.

Janis Moser was one of the players responsible for the 4:1, which the Swede Pontus Holmberg scored into the empty net two minutes before the final buzzer. It was the Seeland defender’s eleventh assist in the current championship. He also has five goals in his interim tally.
