Not a hot start for the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference final. They lose game one to the Florida Panthers in Raleigh, 5 to 2, the final score. This is the Hurricanes’ first loss in the Lenovo Center this postseason. They round 2-0 early to the Panthers in the first period. They added a goal late to make it 5-2. The Panthers are the defending Stanley Cup champions. The Hurricanes faced Florida the last time they were in the Eastern Conference final in 2023.
