Winnipeg Jets News & Notes:
The Winnipeg Jets travel to Chicago to face the Blackhawks in a Central Division clash and the first of a back-to-back against Central Division opponents. Winnipeg had their four-game winning streak snapped at the hands of the Toronto Maple Leafs in overtime on Saturday night, and they’ll look to get back to their winning ways tonight. The Jets are 4-4-2 in their last 10 games played.
Chicago Blackhawks News & Notes:
The Chicago Blackhawks host the Winnipeg Jets tonight as they look to get back into the win column, as they’re currently on a three-game losing streak. Chicago has the Jets trailing by one point, and this game means everything for both teams, as they jockey for a better position in the standings. Chicago is without Frank Nazar, but the biggest storyline is the return of their former longtime captain and current Winnipeg Jet, Jonathan Toews. It will be an emotional night, but the longtime NHL player will aim to lead his current team against his former team. The Blackhawks are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games played.

Players To Watch:
Winnipeg Jets
Jonathan Toews gets the emotional return to the Chicago Blackhawks, but he’s also on a multi-game goal streak and will look to continue his strong play tonight against his former team. Winnipeg will rely on this mix of emotion and great play to get them back in a winning situation.
Mark Scheifele has been consistent all year long, and as the Olympic date draws nearer and the future is uncertain if he will go as a replacement or not, he’s still playing his absolute best hockey. Winnipeg relies on his leadership, among many other key pieces of their roster to contribute, and Scheifele has delivered all season long.
Chicago Blackhawks
Spencer Knight and a big game in Chicago against the Central Division opponent, Winnipeg, is a storyline that writes itself at this point. If he can post a huge game for the Blackhawks, they can ride that momentum and build it into something more as the team nears the trade deadline and the stretch run of the season.
Connor Bedard feels like the obvious pick, but it’s a similar reason to picking Scheifele. Two players left off the Olympic Team Canada roster and something to prove against each other tonight is just another storyline to watch. Bedard will look to be the it factor for Chicago as they look to get back in the win column.
