Armstrong/Cooper 2, Century/JM 1
NEW HOPE, Minn. — Zachary Bohan was outstanding in goal for the Rochester Century/John Marshall boys hockey team on Monday afternoon, but the Panthers came up just short in a 2-1 non-conference loss to Robbinsdale Armstrong/Cooper at New Hope Ice Arena.
Bohan — who allowed just one goal on 22 shots against rival Mayo on Saturday at the site of Hockey Day Minnesota in Hastings — made 52 saves Monday to keep Century/JM in it until the final buzzer.
He stopped 12 shots in the first period and 20 in each of the final two periods.
Tate Gladney scored both goals for Armstrong/Cooper — one 1:14 into the game, and the other 8:19 into the third to put his team up 2-0.
Jarek Solak got Century/JM on the board with 4:57 to play in the third period, but the Panthers couldn’t get the equalizer.
Armstrong/Cooper is 8-10-0, while Century/JM is now 5-11-0. The Panthers host Faribault at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Graham Arena 4.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
