Connor McDavid didn’t score in any of his first six games. Since that point, he’s tied with Nathan MacKinnon for the league-lead in goals.

My Blues vs. Oilers predictions and NHL picks expect McDavid to find the net once again against one of the league’s worst teams.

Blues vs Oilers best bet: Connor McDavid anytime goalscorer (+100 at BET99)

Connor McDavid’s game has gone up a couple of levels since Zach Hyman returned to the lineup and joined him on the top line. The superstar has averaged 0.8 goals through 28 games with Hyman on his line compared to 0.4 goals over 21 games without him.

That’s not a coincidence. McDavid has produced drastically more shot volume with Hyman by his side, generating 1.3 more shots on target and nearly two more attempts each night.

He should have plenty of opportunities again vs. the St. Louis Blues. They have really struggled defensively of late, sitting 22nd in expected goals against, 29th in shots allowed, and dead last in shot share over the past 10 games.

This is a spot where McDavid & Co. will be able to spend a lot of time on the front foot and with possession of the puck.

It’s also worth noting the Blues have given up power-play goals at the sixth-highest rate this season. McDavid ranks eighth in power plays and first in points. He’s as likely as anybody to take advantage, especially taking on more of a shooting role in the absence of Leon Draisaitl.

Connor McDavid anytime goalscorer

Zach Hyman Over 0.5 assists

Jack Roslovic Over 1.5 shots

Hyman is attached to the hip of McDavid at even-strength and on the power play. He does a lot of the dirty work, recovering pucks and getting them back on McDavid’s stick, so he’s a prime candidate to pick up a helper if McDavid scores.

We’re rounding out the SGP with Jack Roslovic shots. He has registered multiple in 12 of 14 home games this season and is taking on a larger role without Draisaitl. He played nearly 17 minutes and had five shot attempts last night.
