The Pittsburgh Penguins picked up a big 6-3 road win over the Seattle Kraken on Monday.
Pittsburgh has been playing great hockey as of late, as the team has been getting goals from the bottom of the lineup. On Monday, that was the case again as bottom-six forward Connor Dewar scored twice, while defenseman Parker Wortherspoon and Brett Kulak also scored in Pittsburgh’s 6-3 road win over Seattle.
“We want everybody involved in the offense,” Penguins head coach Dan Muse said postgame on Monday. “And obviously, (the defensemen) have been the last couple games. I think we’ve been seeing it. It’s not always going to be necessarily just goals, but contributions on the offensive side.
“Whether it’s getting up in the rush and helping to create space, or their involvement there, movement in the O-zone … or like tonight, actually scoring goals.”
Muse, meanwhile, felt like the Penguins played better as the game went on, which is something he’s proud of.

“I thought in the third period we got better with actually driving, especially when they had numbers there,” Muse said. “(We were) driving the net and being able to create some space.”
With the win, the Penguins are 23-14-11 and holding onto the third spot in the Metro division. Pittsburgh will return to the ice on Wednesday on the road against the Calgary Flames.
