It was a big night at the United Center on Monday night as the Chicago Blackhawks welcomed Jonathan Toews back to the building where he became a legend as a road player for the first time.

But it was Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams who stole the show by appearing in the first row along the ice. Following a rough 20-17 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional playoffs, Williams remained in town to support another Chicago star in Blackhawks center Connor Bedard.

It was a star-studded night as Williams, donning Bedard’s jersey, took in the game alongside Chicago Cubs star Pete Crow-Armstrong.

Williams is coming off his second season in the NFL, where he showed tremendous growth on and off the field. Not only did Williams set multiple NFL records, including seven fourth-quarter comebacks in a single season and became the Bears‘ all-time leading passer, but he helped guide Chicago to their first NFC North title since 2018 and first playoff win since 2011.

Part of Williams’ success off the field is his willingness to be a strong member of the community. The crowd went almost as crazy for him as they did for Toews, who won three championships while playing in Chicago.

This short moment in time is proof that winning in a city like Chicago can make you a legend forever. You can bet that this won’t be Williams’ last time celebrating with the fans, and he has a lot of great football ahead of him.
