The Toronto Maple Leafs are gearing up to host their annual outdoor practice for fans, and this year they’re inviting WWE superstars to join in on all the action.
Beginning on Saturday and running all weekend long, the outdoor practice invites fans for a fun weekend of events at the Westway Outdoor Rink in Etobicoke with live activations, programming, and closing with the Leafs Outdoor Practice on Monday Jan. 26.
This year, the outdoor practice will feature WWE superstars as special guests, before they hit the ring later for WWE Monday Night RAW.
WWE Superstars expected to attend include Maxxine Dupri, Otis, Akira Tozawa, Ivy Nile, The Creed Brothers and WWE reporter Jackie Redmond. According to Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), the superstars will support the team through a 3-on-3 tournament.
“We look forward to this event every year as a chance to connect with our passionate fans, and doing so in their communities makes it even more meaningful,” Toronto Maple Leafs General Manager Brad Treliving said. “This weekend is about giving the next generation the opportunity to experience the game outdoors – where many of us first fell in love with hockey.”
The addition of the WWE superstars comes after MLSE and WWE announced a new partnership last year, which will also see superstars at Maple Leafs games.
Programming at the event will include the Toronto Sceptres Skills Competition, the Next Gen game Viewing Party, Sport Chek Open Ice and the Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni Game.
Attendees are encouraged to check out the full weekend schedule on the Toronto Maple Leafs website.
