This is only the third game this season the Stars will be without Rantanen. He served a one-game suspension issued by the NHL earlier this season because of two game misconduct penalties in the physical infractions category.

The Stars acquired Rantanen in a blockbuster trade last March and he has quickly become a key piece of their lineup.
