DENVER, Colorado — Former Brainerd Warrior and current Denver University junior defenseman Eric Pohlkamp was nominated for the 2026 Hobey Baker Award, which is given annually to the top player in college hockey.
Pohlkamp’s teammate Boston Buckberger, also a junior defenseman, was also nominated for the award.
Pohlkamp leads all defensemen in goals with 14 this season. He’s added 11 assists in 25 games. He leads Denver in goals, points and shots. He also holds a plus/minus rating of +12.
Denver is currently ranked ninth in the country with a 13-10-2 record.
