The Detroit Red Wings are riding high after a big win on Wednesday, and they will look to sweep their back-to-back when they visit the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.

The Red Wings arrive in the Land of 10,000 Lakes fresh off a spirited victory over the rival Toronto Maple Leafs less than 24 hours ago. In a very entertaining game, it was captain Dylan Larkin who played the hero, scoring the game-winning goal, giving Detroit a 2-1 win.

The victory extended the Red Wings’ win streak to three games, with the team coming out on top in seven of their past eight contests. This team is clicking at the right time and is not only making a case to be involved in the playoff mix but also a contender to win the Atlantic Division.

Detroit enters Thursday tied with the Tampa Bay Lightning for first in the division.

The Wild might not be in contention for their division crown, but they have been playing pretty well as of late. Despite losing to the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday, Minnesota has beaten some good teams, including the Leafs earlier in the week. The team is currently tied for second in the Central with the Dallas Stars.
