Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Wild refused to go quietly on Thursday night, mounting a dramatic comeback to defeat the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 in overtime at Grand Casino Arena.

After falling behind, the Wild found their spark early in the third period when Mats Zuccarello knotted the score at three goals apiece. The veteran forward’s clutch goal set the stage for overtime heroics from superstar Kirill Kaprizov, who wasted little time ending the contest just 54 seconds into the extra frame.

Both Zuccarello and Kaprizov turned in stellar performances, each recording two goals on the night to power Minnesota’s comeback effort.

Minnesota will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup when they host the Florida Panthers on Friday night.
