The Texas Rangers scored three runs but the New York Yankees scored four runs.
An excellent Jacob deGrom outing. Two Jake Burger home runs. Even a solo shot from Sam Haggerty, and the Rangers still can’t win mostly because they can’t get a hit with runners on base, of which they still have not done this entire series.
For the third time in their last few games, the Rangers lost one in which they took a multi-run lead into the late innings.
Player of the Game: deGrom threw seven innings of three-hit ball with nine strikeouts and even went above 100 pitches because the bullpen is toast and they still blew it.
Up Next: An early match awaits the Rangers next as they send RHP Nathan Eovaldi to the mound opposite LHP Carlos Rodon for New York.
Lunch time with the Rangers on Thursday features an 11:35 am CT first pitch from Yankee Stadium and you can catch it on the Rangers Sports Network.
