The Florida Panthers (27-20-3) will conclude a three-game road trip against the improving Chicago Blackhawks (21-22-8) tonight in the Windy City.
Brad Marchand returned with a vengance, scoring twice, including the game-winner, and adding an assist in Florida’s 4-3 overtime victory over the Minnesota Wild last night in St. Paul. Sam Reinhart (1G/1A), Carter Verhaeghe (2A), and Matthew Tkachuk (2A) had multi-point perofrmances and Sam Bennett tied the tilt with his 19th goal of the season with 6:49 remaining in regulation.
The Blackhawks are coming off a hard-fought 2-1 shootout loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday. Ryan Green scored Chicago’s only goal and Arvid Soderbolm made 30 saves to earn his team a point. Third-year Connor Bedard leads the team in assists (28) and in scoring with 48 points.
