The Vancouver Canucks continued their terrible campaign so far this NHL season losing to the Pittsburgh Penguins last night, but in more interesting news, Bryan Rust delivered an elbow to the head of Brock Boeser at the end of the game.
Well, it looks like Adam Foote was right because on Monday morning, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced that Bryan Rust will have a hearing for his hit on Brock Boeser, with the date and time of said hearing still to be determined.”-Jaxon
Will Bryan Rust receive a suspension?
Canucks Army posted their thoughts on the hit on X, and it’s clear they are all in favour of a suspension and they have every right to be. The hit was a clear target to the head, and completely unnecessary at the end of the game. A 2 game suspension is the minimum expected for this.

This season continues to be a nightmare for Boeser, who is on pace for a career low in every metric of his career. And now this hit will take him out for an indefinite period of time. Boeser has voiced his frustrations with how this year has gone, and this definitely will not be helping his morale, or his performance when he returns. It’s going to get worse for him before it gets any better.
