The Vancouver Canucks have had a season to forget so far, and a lot of it has to do with many players out due to injury, one of this is forward Nils Hoglander, who after missing almost 30 games this year, is being evaluated for another lower-body injury.

Two years ago Hoglander showed a lot of potential but the last two, he has taken many steps back, and it might get even worse.

“Since the start of training camp, the Vancouver Canucks have dealt with several injuries to key players on their roster including Teddy Blueger, Filip Chytil, Thatcher Demko, Derek Forbort and Nils Hoglander, among others who have already returned to game action.”-Jaxon

Nils Hoglander could be out long-term again for the Vancouver Canucks.

Trevor Beggs of the Daily Hive reported on the constant bad news Hoglander has been having this season. After being injured with an ankle sprain during training camp and missing a third of the season, he might be out yet again with an undisclosed lower-body injury per Adam Foote.

“Now, he may be sidelined with another injury. At Canucks practice on Wednesday, five players were absent, including Tyler Myers, Filip Hronek, Filip Chytil, Conor Garland, and Höglander. Head coach Adam Foote mentioned that everyone missing was out due to a maintenance day or because of illness, except for Höglander.”-Beggs

The Canucks have been riddled with injury and almost all of them have been forwards, they now have Tatcher Demko out the rest of the year, Filip Chytil has hardly played this year, as well as Teddy Blueger. Although management has not set the team up for success, the amount of injuries is definitely something to take into consideration for how poor this team has done so far. Hopefully for Hoglander he will not be out too long, and can start to build momentum for next season.
