NHL officials were at AT&T Stadium back in November when the league revealed Dallas would host the 2027 Stadium Series game. The 2027 game will be the first hockey game at AT&T Stadium.
The Stars aren’t strangers to stadium games, as they hosted the league’s Winter Classic at the Cotton Bowl in 2020. That game notably drew an attendance figure of 85,630.
This would be the third time Vegas plays in an outdoor game. The Golden Knights last played outdoors in 2024, when they faced the Seattle Kraken in the Winter Classic at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
