The Vancouver Canucks’ woes at Roger Arena this season have been well documented and are set to his a record low when the 2025-26 season comes to a close.

The 2025-26 season hasn’t been very kind to the Vancouver Canucks, with the club currently sitting in dead last in the National Hockey League’s overall standings with a record of 17-31-5 through 53 games entering action on Thursday.

As the season rolls along, the Vancouver Canucks have struggled mightily on home ice with just five wins at Rogers Arena since the 2025-26 campaign began and if things continue this way for the rest of the season, it looks like the club might set a new franchise record they want nothing to do with.

Vancouver Canucks’ home woes set to hit record low when 2025-26 season concludes

Including tonight’s contest against the Anaheim Ducks, the Vancouver Canucks have 16 home games remaining, meaning that if they were to win all of them, which is nearly impossible given how their season has gone, they would finish the campaign with 21 victories at Rogers Arena, six below what they finished with the year they reached the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

According to Rob Williams of Daily Hive, the Canucks are on pace for their worst record on home ice in the team’s 56-year history, with their current record being 13 wins (.400 win percentage) in 40 games during the 1976-77 season.

“It is truly unbelievable how bad the #Canucks have been at Rogers Arena this season.

They’re on pace to have the worst home points percentage (.260) in their 56-year history.

Current record is .400, set in 1976-77, before the NHL had OT or shootouts to settle ties.” Williams shared.

Looking at Vancouver’s home schedule for the rest of the year, they have some tough matchups ahead, with Dallas, Carolina, Florida, Tampa Bay, Anaheim, Utah and Vegas among those who will make the trip to Rogers Arena before the conclusion of the regular season in April.

While it’s been tough for the Canucks this season, one positive to look at right now is the team’s chances of getting one of the first two picks in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft and selecting someone that’ll hopefully set this organization up for success long-term.
