The Vancouver Canucks do not have much of a choice but to tank for the rest of the season, even if they tried to be competitive their injuries wouldn’t allow them to be, their lineup against the Anaheim Ducks does not feature Nils Hoglander, Brock Boeser, Marco Rossi and Zeev Buium to name a few.
The Canucks have been one of the most injured teams in the NHL this season, and with them already lacking depth they find themselves in last place due to their injuries.
“Well, unfortunately the opposite has happened and the club sits dead last in the National Hockey League overall standings, leading the Vancouver Canucks to make almost everyone on their roster available for trade leading up to the March 6th deadline.”-Jaxon
The injuries keep piling up for the Vancouver Canucks.
NHL.com released the lineups ahead of the Pacific Division matchup between the Canucks and the Ducks, the Ducks are looking to continue their breakthrough season and solidify their playoff position. While the end of the season cannot come quickly enough for the Canucks.”Evander Kane — Elias Pettersson — Conor Garland

Liam Ohgren — Teddy Blueger — Jonathan Lekkerimaki
Drew O’Connor — Aatu Raty — Jake DeBrusk

Hoglander looks like he will be out long term with his lower body injury, Boeser is dealing with a concussion after the Bryan Rust elbow on him. Buium is dealing with a scary face fracture, and Rossi is also dealing with his second lower-body injury of the season. It’s been a hard few months for the Canucks, and sadly it doesn’t look to be letting up anytime soon.
