The Philadelphia Eagles finally landed an offensive coordinator on Thursday after an extensive search. Former Green Bay quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion. He’s very young (33), and played quarterback as a backup in the NFL for three different teams in nine years. More importantly, his offensive background is very different from Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni; Mannion has played for and work with Sean McVay (LA Rams), Kevin O’Connell (Vikings), and Matt LaFleur (Packers), which hopefully means a new offense in 2026.
The Philadelphia Flyers are 4-10 in the month of January and have fallen into last place in the Metropolitan Division. This Flyers ar the fourth youngest team in the NHL, and it’s showing. The only bright spot is right winger Travis Konecny; Konecny leads the Flyers in goals (21), assists (29), and points (50). The Flyers front office has made it clear that this team is in the middle of a rebuild, and expectations should be tempered. The Flyers got off to a hot start and seem to be running out of gas with three games before the Winter Olympic break.
The Sixers are 26-21 and currently hold the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference. There are some fans who want the organization to move on from MVP award winning center Joel Embiid. There are rumors of a potential trade with the Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo.
