WILLISTON, N.D. — The Jamestown High School girls hockey team took Williston to overtime on Saturday.

The Coyotes escaped with a win.

Jamestown dropped 2-1 to the Coyotes via a shootout on Jan. 31. The loss puts the Blue Jays at 4-11-1. Head coach Andy Fitzgerald and the girls will be back on the ice on Feb. 5 hosting West Fargo. The puck is scheduled to drop at 7 p.m.

Williston struck first in the showdown with a goal by Abby TeSoro in the second period. Grace Allmaras evened things up at one with a score at the 5:12 mark of the third period.

TeSoro finished off the game with a goal in the shootout round.

Boys wrestling team drops, Stoddart wins

Ryker Stoddart keeps winning.

The Jamestown High School sophomore wrestler picked up his third win in three days on Saturday. Stoddart defeated Minot United’s Vincent Martinez by way of a 17-2 tech fall to pick up all five of the Blue Jays’ points in the conference dual. The Blue Jays wound up falling 71-5 to Minot to complete the team’s conference season.

Jamestown’s next action — the 2026 West Region Tournament — is slated for Feb. 7. Duals are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Mandan High School.
