Ridly Greig might not be the first name that pops into your head when you think of the Ottawa Senators tonight against the New Jersey Devils. That said, perhaps it should be. Recently, Greig has been finding his game. And, fortunately for the Senators, it’s come at just the right time.

The team needs a jolt of energy, and he’s just the guy to bring it. He’s a player on the rise.

Greig’s Season Started Slowly for the Senators

Greig’s season got off to a pretty slow start. In the first three months, he scored fewer than 15 points. Those aren’t exactly the kind of numbers that make you stand up and notice. But January has been a different story.

This month, in 15 games, Greig has put up 12 points—five goals, seven assists—and he’s throwing about two shots on net every night. Over the last eight games alone, he’s scored nine points and had two nights where he was all over the scoresheet. Not bad for a guy who was quiet for much of the season. The guy is finding his touch.
