The club earlier today reported that they activated Kopitar from injured reserve as they play against the Flyers at 9:30 AM in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, another forward, Alex Turcotte, has been placed on injured reserve.The King’s captain rejoined the team after missing several important games this season. As per reports, he was injured during a game against Minnesota on Jan. 5, where he sustained the upper-body injury while being tied up with Wild forward Marcus Foligno in the corner. Following the incident, Kopitar was seen promptly skating off the ice, indicating his serious injury.

The Los Angeles Kings have gotten back their form and glory after their captain, Anze Kopitar, returned to the team on Saturday, after missing 11 games due to his upper-body injury. According to the NHL,” The center and Kings captain missed 11 games after he was injured during a 4-2 win against the Minnesota Wild on Jan. 5.”The player has earlier announced that this season is going to be his last and final season. Meanwhile, Kopitar recorded six goals and 15 assists in 37 games before the injury. According to PuckPedia, “Anze Kopitar is signed to a 2-year, $14 million contract with a cap hit of $7 million per season, playing for the Los Angeles Kings. His contract expires at the end of the 2025-26 season, making Kopitar an Unrestricted Free Agent.”Kopitar was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the first round (No. 11) of the 2005 NHL Draft. He set foot in the professional league and made his debut with the Kings at age 19 on Oct. 6, 2006, and scored two goals against the Anaheim Ducks, as reported by NHL.com.On the other hand, to make room for the captain, the Kings have reportedly placed Alex Turcotte on injured reserve with an upper-body injury after reactivating Anze Kopitar. Reports suggest Turcotte has missed the last two games and will likely be away till the Winter Olympics. The forward has scored a goal and five assists in his last 11 games, giving him three goals and nine assists over 49 appearances this season.It is to be noted that Los Angeles is currently holding the sixth position in the Pacific Division with 57 points.
