SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Mammoth made a late push, but ultimately came up short to start their homestand with a 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars on Saturday.
After going down 3-1 in the first period, the team’s energy seemed drained. Kailer Yamamoto followed the 0-0 second period with a goal in the third that rejuvenated Utah’s spirit.
Ultimately, Dallas held strong and ran out the clock to secure the win.
The Mammoth fall to 28-23-4 with the loss, and look forward to Vancouver on Monday.
