ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Laila Anderson captured the hearts of Blues fans during the team’s Stanley Cup run in 2019. She served as the team’s inspiration as she battled a rare, life-threatening autoimmune disease.
Now, 17, Anderson is set to be inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame on Wednesday – alongside Blues legend and her friend, Pat Maroon.
Sports on 4’s Grace Ybarra caught up with Anderson ahead of the ceremony to reflect on her relationship with the Blues, her own journey with hockey and her plans to attend Maryville University this fall.
