Winnipeg Jets News & Notes:

Winnipeg posted a late comeback against the Florida Panthers to get themselves back in the win column, and they faceoff against the Dallas Stars, a team they’re all too familiar with, given they are divisional rivals. Winnipeg sits sixth in the Central Division and nine points out of a wildcard spot with a 5-3-2 record in their last 10 games played.

Dallas Stars News & Notes:

Dallas aims to knock Winnipeg off their winning block tonight to leap Minnesota in the Central Division standings. Dallas is on a four-game win streak, and they’ll look to maintain that tonight at home over Winnipeg. Dallas is third in the Central Division and 6-4-0 in their last 10 games played.

Players To Watch:

Winnipeg Jets

Kyle Connor is a player I feel I haven’t spotlighted a ton in these player-to-watch sections. You can’t ask more from the player who’s elevated his game to where he is now, and he’ll look to contribute to Winnipeg beating a Central Division opponent tonight.

Connor Hellebuyck has been a rock for the Jets since his career began, and tonight is another game on his resume to show that he’s Winnipeg’s top netminder. If he performs big tonight against Dallas, Winnipeg could ride that momentum into the Olympic break, which is also a much-needed rest for some of the players on their team.

Dallas Stars

Mikko Rantanen has been an A+ player for the Dallas Stars this season, and he’ll look to be the driving factor in Dallas knocking the Jets off their block tonight.

Roope Hintz looks to contribute to yet another Dallas Stars win tonight as the Stars will rely on him to gain a key victory in their Central Division standings push.
