It’s confirmed: Alexandre Texier will not take the ice at the Grand Casino Arena tonight against the Minnesota Wild.
Martin St-Louis will once again have to do without his French forward, who is dealing with a lower-body injury.
“Canadiens going with the same lineup as Saturday; Alexandre Texier (LBI), Jayden Struble & Sammy Blais remain OUT.”

Fortunately, Kirby Dach is back to solidify the first line. Dach has already had success alongside Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.
Let’s talk numbers. Montreal holds a 31-17-7 record this season. Minnesota, meanwhile, sits at 32-14-10. It’s a big road test for Martin St-Louis’ group.
The Habs have been averaging 4.7 goals per game recently. However, the Wild are red-hot, riding a five-game streak with at least one point.
Alexandre Texier remains sidelined with a lower-body injury.
“Dobes tonight against the Wild, Texier still injured, and still no information on a possible return for Patrik Laine.”
You can sense that the Canadiens want to be cautious with Alexandre Texier.
With a surplus of forwards, Martin St-Louis can afford to be patient before reinserting him into the lineup.
The bad news is that we still don’t know when he’ll be able to return to the lineup.
Texier’s absence forces Joe Veleno to take on more responsibility.
We should receive a full update on his health status soon, but he is not on the long-term injured reserve list.
