The Ottawa Senators could be without one of their top blue-liners on Monday.

Thomas Chabot will be a game-time decision against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Senators head coach Travis Green told reporters after morning skate.

Chabot, 29, left late in Saturday’s win over the New Jersey Devils for what the team called “precautionary reasons.”

He appeared to be favouring his right hand on the bench before exiting the game.

Chabot has recorded five goals and 17 assists in 39 games this season.

In goaltending news, Green confirmed Monday that Linus Ullmark will get his second straight start in net.

Ullmark made 26 saves in Saturday’s victory over the Devils, his first start since taking a personal leave of absence from the team on Dec. 28.

Ottawa enters Monday’s game seventh in the Atlantic Division with a 26-21-7 record.
