Minnesota star forward Kirill Kaprizov’s second goal of the game was the winner as the Wild beat the Montreal Canadiens 4-3 in overtime last night in St. Paul. Joel Eriksson Ek and Kaprizov gave the Wild a 2-0 lead but the Canadiens scored three straight, including a goal just :12 second into the third period, to take their first lead of the game. Brock Faber tied it with his 13th of the season before Kaprizov scored his fourth overtime game-winner of the season and the 14th of his career to ice the win. Quinn Hughes had three assists in the win as Matt Boldy and Marcus Johansson each also had a multipoint night. Filip Gustavsson got the win on 17 saves. The Wild are in Nashville on Wednesday night for their final game before the Olympic break.
