Jonatan Berggren has primarily been the secondary scorer the St. Louis Blues expected him to be when they claimed him on waivers from the Detroit Red Wings in mid-December.

In 20 games in a Blues jersey, he shows five goals and three assists for eight points. Averaging one goal every four games makes a player a 20-goal scorer in the NHL. Berggren did net 15 goals in his rookie season with Detroit

Recently, Berggren has played on the third line with former Detroit player Pius Suter and Nick Bjugstad. He has two goals and three points in his last three games.  Berggren is on the second power play unit.

Berggren is playing more minutes than he did in Detroit, but he is really the same player he was in Detroit. His scoring is still streaky. He went nine games without a point in one stretch in January.
