Best NHL prop bets for Tuesday 2/3/26
Nikita Kucherov 2+ assists (+145)
The owner of the NHL’s second-longest active point streak at eight consecutive games, Nikita Kucherov is dominating the competition at the moment. That’s not even remotely shocking coming from the three-time Art Ross Trophy winner, but let’s take a brief look at the splits. The Lightning’s superstar has 19 points across those eight games — yes, 19 points — thanks to five goals and 14 assists. Not only is he on this point streak, but he’s been en fuego since the new year started with 35 points across 14 games since January 1.
The statistical dominance isn’t limited solely to Kucherov, either. Tampa Bay is 12-1-1 over the same sample while averaging a whopping 4.0 goals per game. The offense is humming with Kucherov as the spear of the attack, so it makes a ton of sense to take one of his props tonight. With 58 assists on the campaign, the star is second in the stat across the entire NHL and has notched multiple assists in four of his last six games, as well as eight of his 14 appearances since New Year’s Day. The Sabres are decent defensively with 3.04 goals allowed per game, but they do also give up 30.0 shots a night, fourth-most. The Lightning offense can strike, perhaps even twice with Kucherov dishing the assist.
Evan Bouchard 4+ shots on goal (+130)
Well, after a lot of talk this past offseason about Evan Bouchard’s determination and willingness to lock in, the defenseman has put forth some excellent contributions on the year. The Oilers’ star sits tied for the lead among all players at the position with 60 points, though he’s appeared in six more games than the other leader (Zach Werenski). Bouchard isn’t without his faults, but offensive performance is not one of them. He’s scored 15 goals while dishing 45 assists, and he’s notably a +12 in +/-.
We want to target his ability on offense heading into a matchup with a soft blue line. Bouchard has 157 shots this season, third-most of any defenseman and second-most of any player on Edmonton’s roster (yes, more than Leon Draisaitl). He’s been very engaged recently, logging nine shots in his last game with tallies of five, eight and four across three of his last four contests prior to that one. The Maple Leafs are a paper-thin defense, allowing an NHL-worst 31.6 shots per game to opponents. You can do the math there, but it makes a ton of sense to bank on Bouchard and the rest of his teammates putting plenty of attempts on the net. Plus odds, no problem.
