Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Wild continued their hot streak Monday night, defeating the Montreal Canadiens 4-3 in overtime at Grand Casino Arena to secure their fourth consecutive win.

Trailing late in regulation, the Wild found new life when defenseman Brock Faber scored the equalizer in the third period to send the game to overtime. Just over three minutes into the extra frame, Kirill Kaprizov sealed the victory with his second goal of the night, finding the back of the net at the 4:06 mark.

Kaprizov’s two-goal performance led the Wild’s offensive attack, while Joel Eriksson Ek also contributed a goal in the winning effort.

The Wild will look to extend their winning streak to five games when they visit Nashville on Wednesday night.
