A major change to Rogers Arena that the club has been working on for a while not is expected to be completed during the league’s Olympic break according new reports.
“We are hosting this event earlier in the year compared to previous seasons due to the organization’s mission to begin the process of replacing the seats at Rogers Arena immediately following the conclusion of the Canucks season, during which time our team will have extremely limited access to the seating bowl due to construction” the team said back in March 2025.
Major change to Rogers Arena expected to be completed during the Olympic break
“Earlier this week, a small number of Vancouver Canucks season ticket holders received a rather discomforting email: the promised new seat they’d be getting for this season wasn’t ready. Most of the building seats had been replaced for the first time in three decades, but it seemed the team had run out of time.” Patrick Johnston of The Province said back in September.
“We are looking forward to replacing the remainder of the maroon seats. Due to the complexity of the system required to replace the telescopic seating in the Zamboni end zone, we needed a break in the schedule to complete the work.” a spokesperson for the Canucks told Williams.
Given that the Vancouver Canucks aren’t back on home ice until February 25th – 22 days from now – the club has ample time to get this completed and everyone is looking forward to seeing what the entire arena looks like once the final black seats are installed.
