The Florida Panthers (28-24-3) limp into tonight’s tilt looking to end a frustrating four-game losing streak when they face the Boston Bruins (32-20-4) at Amerant Bank Arena in their penultimate game before the long break for the 2026 Winter Olympics. Yes, there are 26 games left after this one, but this feels like a must-win for the Cats.
Florida saw an early two-goal lead evaporate in Monday night’s 5-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres as they failed to get a win in Sunrise for the fourth consecutive game. Rookie Sandis Vilmanis, Evan Rodigues and defenseman Uvis Balinskis potted the goals and leading scorer Sam Reinhart contributed two primary assists. Sergei Bobrovksy continued to struggle, giving up all five goals on just 20 shots.
The Bruins are coming off a wild 6-5 shootout loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning in Sunday’s Stadium Series clash at Raymond James Stadium. After giving up a goal on the game’s first shot, the Bruins got a huge pair from Morgan Geekie and singles from Alex Steeves, Viktor Arvidsson and Matthew Poitras to open up a 5-1 before letting the Bolts rally. A busy Jeremy Swayman stopped 41 of 46 shots to help the Bruins gain a point.
