Game Preview

Last night’s game was a dud. Just a total dud.

Anyway, back to work!

The Kings are in an awkward way right now. They’re definitely scoring more than they were, and they are winning games, they just want you to feel like you’re getting the most of your ticket. Of their last five, three of them went to extra time, and are 3-2 across them. They are however, coming off of a pretty gruesome loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, who held them to a measly 13 shots. Granted, that was a 3-2 overtime loss, but it was frankly a miracle they got there at all with what the Canes were subjecting them to.

The Kings themselves are a pretty tough team when they aren’t short-circuiting on offense; they do make it pretty difficult to attack their goaltender, and have one of Sweden’s elder statesmen of goalscoring and Switzerland’s ferocious goalscoring phenom gearing up to make their respective squads proud in Milan and/or Cortina.

What seems to be the killing blow some teams have decided on is quick puck movement to bunch the Kings defense together, as they have been guilty of puckwatching, and getting traffic in front of the net. This will be a tough order, no questions asked, but two points to potentially get back with the Ducks is now something we have to contend with in this ridiculous division, so we might as well give it a go.

LET’S GO KRAKEN, LET’S GO SQUIDS
