He now heads back down to the AHL, where he has totaled three goals and six assists in nine contests for the Rocket.

Calgary Flames
Calgary Flames forward Jonathan Huberdeau is set to undergo hip resurfacing surgery and will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season, the team announced on Thursday morning.
He is expected to make a full recovery and should be ready for the start of next season.
“After extensive evaluation, this was determined to be the best course of action for Jonathan’s long-term health and performance,” said Flames general manager Craig Conroy. “While it is difficult to lose a player of his calibre, our priority is ensuring he is fully healthy moving forward.
“Huberdeau has been managing hip-related symptoms throughout the season. The decision to proceed with surgery was made in collaboration with Jonathan, his representative, our medical staff, and specialists to support his long-term well being.”
Huberdeau logged 15:39 of ice time in Wednesday’s 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers, registering one goal and three shots on net.
His season finishes with 10 goals and 15 assists in 50 games played.
The Saint-Jerome, Que. native is in the third season of an eight-year, $84 million ($10.5M AAV) extension signed with the Flames in August 2022.
