Ghost Pirates extend streak to four with 4-2 win over Everblades

The Savannah Ghost Pirates, ECHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers, picked up their fourth straight win Friday night, defeating the Florida Everblades 4-2 at Enmarket Arena.Tristan Amonte scored twice in the first period to give Savannah an early 2-0 lead, assisted on the first goal by Connor Gregga and Chris Lipe.Florida cut the deficit in the second period on a Logan Lambdin tip-in, and Anthony Romano tied the game early in the third.The Ghost Pirates reclaimed the lead for good with 3:04 left in regulation when Ryan Sullivan scored on a power-play shot, assisted by Cristophe Tellier and Bryce Brodzinski. Riley Hughes added an empty-net goal to seal the 4-2 victory.Goaltender Vinnie Purpura earned his fourth consecutive win, stopping 33 of 35 shots. Cam Johnson made 26 saves on 29 shots for the Everblades.Savannah returns to action Saturday for Olympics Night (“Miracle in SAV”) at 7 p.m. ET.
