The Avalanche had their toughest stretch of the season from Jan. 4 to Feb. 4. Injuries to Gabe Landeskog and Devon Toews tested the team’s depth. The team’s overall defensive performance took a hit during this period, and fatigue began to set in.
Colorado was 4-5-1 in its last 10 games after defeating the Sharks last Wednesday. Jared Bednar’s team remains No. 1 overall in the league.
