Red Wing had a one-goal lead going into the final minutes of the third period, but two Owatonna goals sunk the Wingers 2-1 on Saturday in Big 9 boys hockey action.

Rocco Doyle scored the first goal of the game at 7 minutes, 40 seconds of the third. That gave the Wingers a 1-0 lead until the Huskies tied it at 13:17 of the period. Brayden Spindler scored the go-ahead goal for the Huskies in the final minute of play.

Braden Lovett and Brody Hovel each assisted on Doyle’s goal. Ben Flaaen made 43 saves in net.

Red Wing was outshot 45-19.
