It looks like another change is coming to your local morning newscasts. Just a couple of months after Ali Touhey announced she was stepping down from the morning co-anchor spot at WIVB, the station has announced a new permanent co-host for Scott Peterson and Mike Cejka.
WIVB Announces Permanent Co-Host For Wake Up Show
After spending several weeks as the fill-in co-host on the Wake Up show, Sara Minkewicz announced that she will be taking the co-anchor job permanently.
Minkewicz is a Western New York native who has held several jobs at WIVB. She has been a reporter and is currently the weekend morning show anchor as well.
There were several chances to see the show in 2025. Besides Ali Touhey stepping down in November, Hope Winter left the show to become an afternoon reporter. Gwyn Napier took over the role of morning show reporter when Winters moved to the afternoon.

Ali Touhey had been part of the Channel 4 Wake Up show since February 2023, where she was paired up with Scott Patterson and Mike Cejka from day onePatterson join the morning show in 2024, while Mike Cejka has been the morning weatherman for several years.
There have been several major changes at WIVB over the past several years, with both longtime anchors Don Postels and Jackie Walker stepping away from anchor duties. Dave Greber and Kelsey Anderson have been handling the 5 pm and 6 pm newscasts ever since.
