It’s simple, Ivan Demidov is a machine. While most of the guys are still enjoying the sun, the young Russian was already back on the ice in Brossard this Wednesday.
Let’s be honest, no one expected to see him skating six days before the mandatory report date of February 17. That says a lot about how serious he is about his approach.
Patrick Guillet spotted him in the middle of a workout this morning. The guy never stops, even if he seems to be missing his partner Lane Hutson.
“The vacation is short-lived for Ivan Demidov. He is on the ice this morning in Brossard.”

Let’s tell it like it is, this work ethic is going to please Montreal Canadiens fans. He is showing solid execution in his preparation.
We’ll keep an eye on whether other players decide to grab some early ice time. For now, it’s the Demidov show drawing all the attention at the sports complex.
Ivan Demidov wastes no time, returns to work early in Brossard
Alex Newhook also made an appearance alongside Adam Nicholas. Unlike Demidov, Newhook is still nursing an injury, which makes his presence on the ice more predictable.
“Alex Newhook also made his appearance on the ice.
He is accompanied by a mystery goalie and Adam Nicholas.”
It’s worth remembering that the players are technically on break. Yet the offensive prodigy prefers to break a sweat before the official resumption of activities.
We can’t wait to see whether his offensive impact will be just as striking in the next game.
With that kind of attitude, the future looks bright for the Habs.
